Entrance & Arrival
Please enter at 250 E 61st St and walk up the entrance steps. A member of our security team will meet you as you arrive. For the safety of everyone attending, all bags are subject to a security check before entry. Please allow a few extra minutes and follow the directions of our welcome and security teams.

If you require a step-free entrance or other assistance, please contact info@upperroom.nyc before attending so our team can confirm available arrangements. The Lexington Avenue–63rd Street station (F and Q) has elevators and is the preferred nearby accessible subway option.

Street parking in this area is limited. Carefully read all posted signs, meter rules, commercial restrictions, alternate-side regulations and temporary notices. Do not assume that a space is legal because another vehicle is parked there.
WHAT TO EXPECT
During the gathering
Our gatherings include Jewish liturgy in Hebrew and English, modern worship anthems, reading from our Torah scrolls, and teaching from the Scriptures. Friday night is a Shabbat meal, prayer and study of the Word; Saturday morning is our main Shabbat service. Newcomers are guided along the way, so you never have to guess what comes next.
What to wear
Modest attire. Suits and dresses are not required. Come as you are.
Children & families
Children are welcome and are at the heart of all that we do.
Oneg — Community Fellowship Meal
After our Saturday Shabbat Morning gathering, everyone is invited to stay for Oneg, our community fellowship meal. It is a relaxed time to share food, meet others, and build meaningful relationships.
Do I need to be Jewish?
No. Everyone is welcome — Jewish people and people from the nations alike. We are a Messianic Jewish synagogue that follows the teachings of Yeshua, and our community includes Jewish believers, people from the nations, and visitors from across NYC. Read more in our FAQ and our Statement of Faith.
