About this gathering

Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement, the most solemn day on the biblical calendar. It closes the ten days of awe that begin at Rosh Hashanah — days given to searching the heart, making things right, and returning to God.

We gather Sunday evening, September 20 at 7:00 PM as the day begins, and again Monday morning, September 21 at 11:00 AM.

Many observe the day by fasting. If fasting is new to you, or your health makes it unwise, you are still entirely welcome — come as you are and take part in whatever way you are able.

What to expect

• • A quieter, more reflective gathering than a usual Shabbat
• • Prayers of repentance and the traditional liturgy of the day
• • Teaching on atonement and what Yeshua accomplished
• • Many in the congregation fast — you are welcome either way
• • Time set aside for personal prayer
