About this gathering

Shemini Atzeret is the eighth-day assembly that closes Sukkot — one more day, as the rabbis put it, because God did not want the feast to end. Simchat Torah follows: the day we finish the annual cycle of Torah readings and immediately begin again at Genesis.

We gather Friday evening, October 2 at 7:00 PM and Saturday morning, October 3 at 11:00 AM.

Simchat Torah is deliberately joyful — the scrolls are carried, there is singing and dancing, and the point is plain: the Word never runs out. If you have never seen it, this is one to come and witness.
